The Au Group Electronics "BB0703" and "BB0703+" are fully-assembled enhanced PICkit 2 systems with a limited life-time warranty. The Microchip PICkit2 is a USB based ICSP (In Circuit Serial Programming) programmer. Since its first release, Microchip has opened all resources of PICkit2 to the public, which include all software source code and hardware schematics. PICkit2, MPLAB, ICD2, ICD3, RealICE and PICkit 2 programmer are trademarks of Microchip Inc. Au Group Electronics CB0703 and BB0703(s) are designed based on Microchip recommended software and hardware. To make it easy to use and compatible with ICD2/ICD3/RealICE, enhanced features, such as: a RJ12 interface and a dedicated power supply circuit, etc, are included on all editions. In addition, buck/boost voltage regulator circuits are included on all "BB0703+" products. This enhanced feature assures that the "BB0703+128K" and "BB0703+256K" always have +5V supply for programming even when USB power supply (normally +4.1V to +5V) drops down to +3V. Since Feb. 2008, a RJ12 reverse cable has been included in this product family. It makes the system capable of working directly with circuit boards developed for ICD2/ICD3/RealICE. The external power regulator circuit can provide +5V regulated voltage to PICkit 2 and application circuit. It also makes the BB0703 extremely easy to use for "Programmer-To-Go" (PTG) feature (supported by PICkit 2 programmer V2.50 and above versions, please see the YouTube video below). Both "BB0703" and "BB0703+128K" include a standard 128K byte EEPROM for PTG feature. The feature of 256K byte EEPROM is naturally included in "BB0703+256K"; no hardware changes are necessary to take the advantage of 256K byte memory for PTG. With BB0703/BB0703+ (PICkit 2), it is so easy to program PICs without a PC !!! Major Features:
