Product Description
The Au Group Electronics CB0703 is a USB PIC programmer design for Do-It-Yourself fans. The Printed-Circuit-Board (PCB) are designed based on Microchip PICkit 2 Schematic. Some enhanced features are also added for long-term durability and easy of use purpose.

The Microchip PICkit2 is a USB based ICSP (In Circuit Serial Programming) programmer. Since its first release, Microchip has opened all resource of PICkit2 to the public, which includes all software source code and hardware schematics. With this open-architecture, Fans and experts can add hardware features, fix the bugs found, or modify the source code for different operation systems, e.g. Linux.
Au Group Electronics is also proud on successfully expanding the PK2 Programmer-To-Go capability from "256K bytes max" to "4M bytes max". All source code had been submitted to Microchip PK2 development team since March-2009. Partial of the source code enhancement has been successfully integrated into the V2.61 release. So, thanks to our engineering team, the whole PICKit 2 community can now enjoy the larger (512K, 1M, 2M, and 4M) and faster PTG feature. ( SPI technology is now supported on PTG and it is much faster than the original I2C technology).
The CB0703 PCB design includes all hardware on Microchip published PICKit 2 schematic and the following enhancements:
1. RJ12 connector, it makes error-proof connection between the programmer and target board, and it also makes it possible to be work directly with any target circuit boards developed for ICD2/ICD3/RealICE.
2. Dedicated Power regulator for Programmer-To-Go.
